Filtering and search

Global search

The search box in the top toolbar looks at every column. Use enableGlobalFilter={false} to remove it, or enableGlobalFilter: false on a column to leave that column out. searchValue changes the text a column offers.

Column filters

Set enableColumnFilters to show a filter under each header.

filterVariant	Filter	Matches
text (default)	A text box	Values that contain the text, ignoring case
select	A select	Values equal to the chosen option
range	Min and max boxes	Numbers between the two
checkbox	A three state checkbox	true, false or any
false	None

A select lists the distinct values of the column unless you pass filterOptions:

Start with filters applied using initialState={{ columnFilters: { status: 'open' }, globalFilter: 'ann' }}.
